adidas AlphaBOUNCE Xeno (Triple Black)
UPDATE: Initially we thought that the Xeno reflective panels on the adidas AlphaBOUNCE were merely accents. We now learn that they're a little bit more than that, the light responsive technology seems faint in natural light, but with strong light – like a camera flash – it's lit in an iridescent explosion. In addition, the shoe apparently transforms on smartphone footage, creating a sense of optical illusion.

There’s something quite shark-like about the adidas AlphaBOUNCE. The sculpted silhouette looks fast, perhaps it’s due to the keenly honed toe that rises in a defiant peak almost like the nose of the ocean’s most feared predator. Regardless, the streamlined composition of the AlphaBOUNCE looks deadly – especially in this shadowy black iteration. With a sock-like upper, the sneaker is adorned with reflective detailing from toe to heel panel to add a little spark to the midnight aesthetic. Adding a measured dose of detail, the collar is completed with a blacked-out print and a reflective heel tab.
