Few silhouettes crank the pace of change like the adidas Adizero Adios. Less than 20 years ago, it was the choice of champions, crossing marathon finish lines in record times. Fast forward to 2025, and the same model is found under the brand's lifestyle tab, being queued up for collaborations with the likes of Wales Bonner and a bevy of general releases.
That evolution feels almost inevitable. Performance tech now moves so fast that what was once revolutionary becomes retro overnight. And retro, in today’s landscape, means opportunity. The Adios OG is no longer about medals – it’s about mood, memory and style.
The latest example arrives in a 'Lucid Lemon' colourway, which arrives in a neon-soaked mesh upper, with tonal synthetic overlays for structure and Three Stripes on the side in a semi-translucent grey gradient. A black tongue with subtle branding keeps things grounded, while a bright red sockliner injects a sharp contrast into the neon-heavy palette.
The heel features a reinforced 'Lucid Lemon' panel, balancing stability with retro performance design. Underfoot, the slim, responsive EVA midsole stays true to the OG Adios design, prioritising speed over cushioning, paired with a black-and-red Continental rubber outsole first made for road-running traction.
Stay tuned for more release details for the adidas Adizero Adios OG 'Lucid Lemon' as they come in.
