Big Sean is making moves. Along with dropping singles for his new album, he’s also decided to leave adidas to join the throng of influential musicians signed to PUMA. As we outlined in our recap of PUMA’s 2016, the Big Cat’s current strategy is to make alliances with key figures in popular culture. As those figures include Young Thug, Swae Lee and Jimmy of Rae Sremmurd, The Weeknd and Rihanna – this move would leave Sean Don in good company.
While PUMA are more popular than ever, Sean stands to test ties with Kanye. West discovered Big Sean in Detroit, and was vocal about PUMA ‘breaking up the family’ by signing Kylie Jenner. And, given Sean is also a member of the G.O.O.D. Music family, he’s likely to feel a way about this deal too.
