Zion Williamson Blows Out His Nikes On Court, Injures Knee in the Process
College basketball phenom Zion Williamson was forced off the court after his Nike PG 2.5s gave way just 33-seconds into Duke’s latest away game against North Carolina.
The 18-year-old was unable to continue, with reports suggesting his knee was injured during the incident.
Zion’s left foot can be seen caving through the sneaker as he attempts to spin off his man. After being floored on the court momentarily, he headed to the bench before leaving for the locker rooms.
We’ve seen on-court blow-outs before, but this could end up being the most infamous in college ball history, as Zion is widely touted to be 2019’s first overall draft pick in the NBA.
