Update October 4, 2022: Rumours have begun to emerge stating that the Yu-Gi-Oh x adidas collection will release at select retailers in Japan on October 11. Keep it locked for a Where to Buy guide and more news of the global release.

Anime-inspired streetwear and sneaker collaborations have become the norm in 2022, and Gundam, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and Astro Boy have all received their own special sneakers. adidas has been leading the charge this year, sprinkling their silhouettes in cutesy colourways inspired by all your favourite characters. Next up for Team Trefoil is a four-pack collection in collaboration with Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yu-Gi-Oh! is the classic manga, anime series and trading card game that took over the world in the early 2000s. For their adidas collaboration, they’ve opted to use the ADI2000, a modernised Y2K skate-style shoe, as the hero model. There’s set to be a ‘Blue Eyes White Dragon’ iteration as well as a ‘Dark Magician’ version. Both have been named after two of the most iconic Monster Cards in existence.

The secondary silhouette is the Reptossage slide, which features images of the two monsters. This collection is packed full of details, including Exodia-themed swing tags, co-branded box, graphic insoles and special imagery of main character Yugi Mutou and antagonist Seto Kaiba.

Sorry, Yu-Gi-Oh! fans, this collaboration doesn’t have a release date, but we hear the whole collection will drop in 2022. Stay locked!
