You Can Cop These Sunbathed Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Sashiko’ Customs Very Soon
We’re constantly in awe of the creativity shown by the , but every now and then, there’s a project that really captures the hearts of the culture. Andrew Chiou’s stunning rework is definitely one such creation. One of the most memorable Dunk Low customs we’ve ever seen, the bleached and sunbathed sneaker has garnered the attention of many, including a few of Nike SB’s own design crew.
Pleasantly surprised by the attention the custom has received, Andrew (who goes by andu.c on Instagram) says he plans to announce pre-orders for the custom in June and July. We don’t expect many to wear ‘em on the beach, though!
Using the as a base, the sneaker has been bleached to achieve a distinctive sunbathed aesthetic, with a faded black and blue upper. Additionally, the stitches have been darkened for some added contrast, while the rope laces are literally rope. Too dope!
