Kanye West and adidas’ Yeezy line has experienced some bad press recently, with the rapper saying he didn’t approve of Yeezy day and alleging adidas stole his designs. Whether Ye likes it or not though, Team Trefoil continue to push ahead with retros! There was the ‘Turtle Dove’, which was meant to arrive last month and last year’s ‘Wave Runner’ restock. Now, rumours have floated that the Yeezy BOOST 350 ‘Pirate Back’ could return once again.

Three Instagram accounts have all stated that they have early pairs for sale, with @retroville.gastonia beating them all to the punch! The first look at what could be the next ‘Pirate Black’ retro, the internet is currently going crazy over the slew of images that surfaced recently. Originally, these bad boys arrived back in 2015 and later dropped again in 2016. The demand was unprecedented, with resell for both pairs reaching well over four-figures at their peak. While in 2022 the ‘Pirate Black’ won’t have the same cultural cache it did 6 years ago, it’s massive news for diehard Ye stans.

While early pairs are currently available from various resellers, an official release date is still unknown and the Yeezy camp are yet to officially comment. We hear that they should be touching down in the northern hemisphere’s spring of 2023. Stay locked for more news.
