WTAPS Show Their Waffle Appreciation with Vans Colab

Japanese streetwear label WTAPS are paying homage to one of their first-ever Vans projects, confessing they’re ‘still in love with Waffles’ with a brand new collaboration for 2020. 

Revealed in a heartfelt blog post from WTAPS founder and designer Tetsu Nishiyama, the new collection harks back to the link-up with Vans’ now-defunct SYNDICATE line. Making use of the Old Skool, Slip-On, and Era – each on two colourways – this Japan-exclusive collection adds to WTAPS’ flourishing collaboration legacy. 

Each silhouette comes in contrasting black and white schemes, complete with bold details on the WTAPS-branded sole units. The darker option is off-set with a bright orange midsole, while the white opts for all-black. The heels are embroidered with ‘WTVUA’, adding a classy touch to this commemorative drop.

The latest WTAPS x Vans collection is set to release at select Japanese retailers, with further details to come. Better call your plug!
