WTAPS and New Balance Have a 990v2 Colab on the Way
Japanese streetwear label and came through with one of the of 2020, and now they’re giving another 99x classic a stylish remix, with a colourway set for release.
Arriving in a Made in USA construction, the sneaker is an understated execution of the popular silhouette. There’s soft grey suede overlays, which sit atop a steel grey mesh base, as the familiar NB branding hits are kept equally muted. A small hi-vis reflective oval on the heel adds a bit of late-night lustre, while the tongue is done in WTAPS militaristic green. Inside, we get a peek at the black insoles, which feature printed logo hits from both brands.
At this stage, we don’t have a release date for the WTAPS x New Balance 990v2. However, all signs point to a drop later this year. We’ll be sure to bring you all the info once it’s available.
