Born in Illinois, Abloh knows the place basketball and the legacy hold for the city of Chicago, so has kept the AJ5 fairly classic (save for the usual Abloh accoutrements, of course). Riffing off the OG 'Metallic' make-up, the OW version sees a black upper hit with red accents and a translucent sole, which is slightly yellowed in this case.
We can't imagine these won't eventually release worldwide but, for now, it looks like the February 15 drop date is in Chi Town only – they will drop at on Saturday. Other Stateside fans: poise for a release on February 16 at 3am.
