Where to Buy the Frame Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low 'Habibi'
Highlighting another sick skate shop with an epic colab, Nike SB have looked to Dubai-based Frame Skate for a Dunk Low. Dubbed the ‘Habibi’, the design pays homage to Frame Skate’s hometown and the UAE’s rich historical background. With the construction, colourway, release strategy, and the legacy of Frame, we think this is one that’ll be jotted down in the history books.
The Frame Skate x Nike Dunk Low ‘Habibi’ was teased constantly throughout this year, with leaked images, closer looks, and potential release dates all spinning around at once. Now that it’s been locked in to hit shelves, we were super intrigued by the release strategy. Frame Skate decided to drop their colab via ‘The Heart of the City’ online game. So, if you wanted a chance to enter into the draw, you needed to complete the game – which is a pretty cool way to conduct a release.
Taking a look at the colourway, we can see that they’ve taken inspiration from the United Arab Emirates flag, dousing the model in a Chile Red/White/Lucky Green/Black combination. Elsewhere, we’ve got leather overlays, textured white underlays, and a dual Swoosh, which is a nice touch. Another inspirational cue from Dubai is the name, dubbed the ‘Habibi’ which translates to ‘my love’ in Arabic.
If you’re looking to make the Frame Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low yours, then you’ll need hit the Frame website to complete the game to enter their raffle. However, if you are located outside the UAE, you’ll need to head to your local skate shop or Nike SNKRS on December 5.
