Kanye West continues to own the footwear and hip hop zeitgeist, with the 44-year-old rapper recently blowing-up the Internet with his ultra-hyped tenth studio album, Donda.

Those looking to get a closer look at Kanye West’s meteoric come-up are now in for a treat, Netflix recently acquiring the rights to a three-part documentary, Jeen-Yuhs.

Directed by Clarence ‘Coodie’ Simmons and Chike Ozah (founders of the company Creative Control), the pair have also been responsible for some of Kanye West’s more coveted music videos, including ‘Through the Wire’ and ‘Jesus Walks’ (version three).

West is reportedly not involved with the project, but has allowed Clarence and Coodie to stockpile a mass of video content spanning two decades, including never-before-seen footage and childhood videos of the game-changing rapper. The three-part series will also feature more recent coverage, including Kanye’s 2020 presidential run (fingers-crossed we also get an insight into his Yeezy empire!).

Purchased by Netflix in April for an eye-watering $30 million, the Jeen-Yuhs documentary has now been in the making for 21 years. The project is set to arrive on Netflix in 2022.
