Vans Donates Thousands of Sneakers to California Camp Fire Victims
Vans have donated close to 5000 sneakers to victims of the devastating Camp Fire in Northern California.
Arriving at Chico High School gym armed with sneakers, socks, shirts and hats, the Santa Ana—based skate label have also previously gifted sneakers in response to other natural disasters — including hurricanes Katrina and Harvey. ‘It’s just heart-wrenching,’ said Vans VP Steve Van Doren. ‘We’re just trying to help them out.’
‘We like to grab some of our trucks — we brought two trucks and a motor home — filled them all up, came up, and tried to serve thousands of people and help out,’ he said.
