Vans Documentary Series Proves Punk Ain't Dead

This is a cool way to spend some marketing money, have enlisted director Angela Boatwright to document the thriving East LA punk rock scene. Whether you're looking at the pop charts or Pitchfork, you'd be forgiven for thinking there's not much music that isn't made on a computer anymore, but it's quite possible the bands profiled in this new Off The Wall TV series have never seen a computer they didn't break in half with their guitars just because. Backyard house shows and warehouse parties go down every week in East LA, with a diverse bunch of people coming together to get really violent or make out to the dulcet tones of some studded jacket screamers.
