Up Close with the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 'Wheat'
and are gearing up for a big back half of 2021 with five collaborations, one of which is the 'Wheat.' Debuted in an from Scott himself, the 'Wheat' was largely shrouded in mystery — at least until now, as a closer look has been harvested.
Scott's penchant for earthy colour schemes is on full display, with the 'Wheat' blasting its eponymous shade across its upper and lower regions. A diverse medley of materials can be seen too, ranging from smooth suedes to stripped-back mesh and even a unique pebbled texture on the backwards Swoosh. Patterned straps, rubberised tongue badges and co-branded 'pennants' on the heels bring further colour and detail into the mix, as does a totally opaque Air cushioning unit.
Other colourways of Scott's Air Max 1 include and though neither of these styles adheres to a tonal palette the way the 'Wheat' does. Outside of the Air Max 1, La Flame is plenty busy as well, with three reportedly releasing this holiday season and even a new possibly on the way as well.
A release date for the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 'Wheat' has yet to be announced, but we'll be sure to keep you in the loop as further details surface.
