Play UNO in the Nike Zoom Freak 3

Update February 15, 2022: Following the initial reveal of the upcoming UNO x Nike Zoom Freak 3 collection, official imagery has surfaced of the black pair. It's also been revealed that this particular iteration may come with a co-branded UNO deck of cards. We'll keep you updated as more information is revealed.

Nike are releasing a series of collaborative sneakers to celebrate the 50th anniversary of popular card game UNO. While that milestone actually went down in 2021, it seems ongoing supply chain issues have pushed back the release of this pack into 2022. Having already sighted the entire set back in October, new images have just emerged of some Zoom Freak 3 colourways that are supposedly coming soon in this collection.

The Zoom Freak 3 is the latest signature model of NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who also happens to have an affinity for the controversial card game that’s anecdotally been at the core of many family and friend arguments (those ‘Draw 4’ cards are crazy). However, Mattel Global Head of Games, Ray Adler, naturally says otherwise.

‘Working with Nike and Giannis to design and curate this collection was truly an honor, and this collaboration shows how UNO can bring people together, including the Antetokounmpo family.’

So far, new pics of the red and blue Zoom Freak 3s are viewable now. Each pair blends the signature four colours of the UNO deck, with emphasis given on one colour. Co-branded details and card graphic lining make this partnership very clear. Stay tuned for more images of the other pairs to come.
