On-Foot With the Union x Air Jordan 2 ‘Rattan’

Chris Gibbs of Union doesn’t sleep! Over the past few years his legendary retailer has been consistently collaborating on plenty of Jordan Brand silhouettes that always rank in the top tier. This year has seen the continuation of their Air Jordan 4, with a ‘Tent and Trail’ collection that hit shelves in May. Ever since, rumours have been swirling about more iterations with both Nike and Michael Jordan’s signature line. Apparently, there are multiple Dunks and a Cortez in the works but what we’re most excited about is the Air Jordan 2.

On-foot imagery has just touched down courtesy of @yankeekicks, giving us our best look yet at the ‘Rattan’ colourway.

We first caught wind of the Union x Air Jordan 2 via a mockup that was floating around, the rumours were put to rest with the release of official imagery, confirming that these are in fact happening! After getting a good look at the ‘Grey Fog’ colourway, we’ve now got an up-close at the ‘Rattan’. Lighter-hued cream tones cover the whole upper, with contrasting tones of ‘Orange Peel’, ‘Beach’ and ‘Siren Red’. The material mix also looks to be quite eclectic, with suede and canvas dominating the uppers.

2022 is set to be a massive year for Union! No word has surfaced on when their Air Jordan 2 will release, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as word comes through.
