Chris Gibbs’ streetwear stalwart Union have been on a tear over the past few years, building on their strong relationship with the Nike camp via a slew of collaborative endeavours across a broad range of silhouettes. This year alone has seen a collection of Dunks and duo of Air Jordan 2s. You best believe they were snapped up quick, as to be expected with any shoe that bears the Union name. Next up for Gibbs is the wider release of his recent Cortez following the initial June 21 drop.
While ‘Off-Noir’ and ‘Sesame’ colourways were created, the latter looks to be the only one receiving a global drop. Paying homage to Los Angeles’ cultural diversity and love of the Cortez, the ‘Sesame’ comes through in a woven underlay, thick suede overlays, cork co-branded insole and dual heel tab. Down below the midsole also hosts at least 10 per cent of Nike Grind.
