UNDERCOVER Reveal a Nike Dunk High Collaboration
Japanese streetwear brand UNDERCOVER have enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Nike that has spanned many seasons and silhouettes. Interestingly, the duo usually has a habit of revealing their collaborations during their epic fashion week displays. This year, while scrolling through their lookbook, we found something quite interesting: more Nike linkups – this time on two Dunk Highs!
Although we couldn’t get up-close-and-personal with either of these bad boys, as the lookbook didn’t allow it, we can tell that they’ve both been fused with the punk-inspired streetwear vibe that Jun Takahashi is known for. Breaking the two models down, we’ve got one all-black and one all-white colourway, both boasting full-leather uppers from what we can tell. Down below, a speckled midsole adds to the vibe, while text on the heel brings that additional UNDERCOVER element. ‘Gleichgewicht’ which translates to ‘Balance’ in German, Chaos and ‘Neues’ meaning ‘New’ all are scripted on the rear, and have been used before by Takahashi on previous collaborations.
No release details have surfaced just yet, but check out the whole UNDERCOVER Fall/Winter 2021 lookbook here, and stay locked to SF as we’ll keep you updated when more info pops up.
