Over the past two years, Virgil Abloh has been having fun with Nike and their iconic Dunk. In 2019 he collaborated with the Swoosh, reworking the silhouette with a new lace system and signature Off-White touches. Once again in 2020, Abloh tricked-up the iteration to create the new Rubber Dunk in three tasty combos. And, if rumours and leaks are anything to go by, you can expect two black-on-black colourways of the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low to drop next year!
The leaks have been spread thanks to the notorious py_rates, and they’ve also created mock-ups of the iterations above. Going by what we can see, it looks as though Abloh has opted for the same construction he used ,back in 2019, with a dual-lace system that covers the upper. Both have been composed in black, however they seem to use two different textured materials on the upper – we’re guessing suede with leather overlays and then leather with suede overlays. As expected, the usual Off-White embellishments are in place such as the zip-ties, exposed foam, and quotation marks.
Update: We’ve also just received some potential leaked images of one of the unreleased pairs via nollege.tx. We’re staying speculative on these pics at this point, and we’ll update you when more information surfaces.
An exact release date for these two Off-White x Nike Dunk Lows hasn’t surfaced just yet, but we hear they’ll arrive during Fall in the northern hemisphere next year.
