Update December 12, 2023: It appears the recent 'beef' between John McEnroe and Travis Scott has been settled. Earlier this week, a Zoom call surfaced featuring McEnroe and Scott arguing over what to name the shoe. Well, McEnroe was arguing. Scott was pretty chill. While the dispute caught the sneakersphere's attention, there was cynicism that the 'leak' was just a publicity stunt, which McEnroe and Scott's subsequent responses appeared to support. But whether there really was conflict over what to call the shoe, the official name has now been titled on SNKRS as the 'Attack x Cactus Jack'. That's that, then – back to eagerly anticipating the drop. Check back soon for our guide on where to cop.

Update December 4, 2023: We finally have a release date confirmed! These are expected to attack shelves at select stores and Nike SNKRS on December 19. Stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for a full Where to Buy guide.

Update August 31, 2023: Official images are here! Nike has released eCom pics of Travis Scott's Mac Attack collaboration. A release date hasn't been announced but rumours suggest pairs will land in December.

Update August 30, 2023: Fresh leaked imagery has arrived of Travis Scott's Nike Mac Attack collaboration. Rumours suggest a release around the Holiday season this year, but neither Nike or the La Flame have hinted at a release date. Stay locked for more leaks.

Update July 26, 2023: An early leaked image has surfaced of the potential Travis Scott x Nike Mac Attack. While we've seen Scott wear his latest Swoosh collaboration already, Nike is yet to officially announce a drop date. So far, rumours are alleging a Holiday 2023 release.

Update June 19, 2023: Nike have officially revealed their Mac Attack retro with campaign imagery and a video featuring both Travis Scott and John McEnroe. In the video, eagle-eyed viewers might have seen Scott rocking his reverse Swoosh version. Are Nike hinting at an upcoming release date?

Travis Scott has been spotted wearing a new Nike Mac Attack collaboration bearing the backwards Swoosh motif associated with the Cactus Jack rapper. He debuted the shoes while performing at E11EVEN Miami nightclub during 2023 Miami Race Week.

From what can be gleaned on-foot, this TS colab riffs on the colourway of grey and black, with the obvious modification of a backwards lateral Swoosh. This detail has been used across numerous La Flame efforts, notably on the Air Jordan 1 that kicked off his practice. Other textbook Travis branding is yet to be sighted.

Besides this main change, the remainder of the Travis Scott x Nike Mac Attack looks fairly true to original spec. The upper pairs leather and mesh on a mid-cut height featuring a plushly padded ankle collar. Small details like the chequered tongue tab also return.

The Nike Mac Attack is expected to be one of Nike’s major retro pushes later this year, with Social Status – and now Travis Scott – collaborations on the way. It certainly is interesting to see a shoe that debuted in 1984 being worked on and sold to a generation that wasn’t born yet when it first released. Stay tuned for more on this new colab.
