Spotted! The Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1

There's nary a dull moment in the life of Travis Scott, but this week is an exceptionally eventful one for the superstar rapper. His Astroworld fest is going down as we write, and, last night he (and the Cactus Jack crew) showed off his latest Nike colab, the Air Trainer 1! Previously, Scott had been seen wearing the style in blurry paparazzi photos, but this is the most detailed look yet.

Sported in custom cleat form by Scott's labelmate and noted sneaker lover Sheck Wes, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 uses the same 'Cactus Corporation' logo as the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1, but moves it to the forefoot strap instead of placing it on the outsole. The upper is an interesting blend of earthy synthetics, textiles and suedes, with Scott's familiar backward Swoosh present on the medial side while a standard Swoosh is placed on the lateral side.

There's a hidden pocket on the heel that lets you conceal your valuables, and, at least on this custom cleat pair, snap fixtures that may hold a shroud in place. The spikes present on this pair will not be on the retail release, of course.

This colourway is officially dubbed 'Coriander/Ashen Slate/Wheat/Light Sienna' and has yet to receive an official release date, though early reports have its arrival pegged for holiday 2021 or early 2022 barring a shock drop at Astroworld. A duo of greyscale styles have been rumoured to release as well. Check it out above, alongside some other nutty custom cleats sported at the game!
