Detailed Look at the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe
Tom Sachs and Nike's partnership is a decade deep, and to celebrate ten years of NikeCraft (the collaboration's official moniker) the two are set to release a brand-new silhouette called the 'General Purpose Shoe.' The sneaker may be proletarian in its name, but it's inherently Sachs-ian in its bricolage style, and now we've got a closer look at its tan and red colourway via @sneakertigger.
Tan and red is a classic Sachs colour palette, made famous by his Mars Yard sneakers. Here it's applied in familiar fashion to the General Purpose Shoe's sleek mesh and suede upper that's drawn many a comparison to the Killshot – though we get a little bit of a Waffle One vibe as well! There are fused seams and a printed Swoosh, but this 'advanced' detailing is contrasted by a retro Nike hit on the white tongue, a hand-drawn graphic on the heel and Sachs' handwriting on the insoles. Down below, a trim white midsole and classic black waffle rubber outsole round off the look.
At the time of writing, a release date for the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe has yet to be announced. However, it'll likely come to market in the next few months. Keep it locked to SF for updates.
