Tinker Confirms Power Lacing Mag For 2015

When Nike were originally promoting the 1500 charity pairs of the Nike Air MAG that were produced in 2011, the campaign featured a commercial which depicted a store scene with Doc from Back to the Future rocking up to purchase some sneaks to help Marty fit in the future year of 2015. Doc asks, 'Does this power lace?' Tinker (a store attendant in the scene) replies, 'Not 'til 2015.' Late last week during a special appearance at Jordan Brand's Flight Lab in New Orleans, Nike design guru Tinker Hatfield confirmed something we've all been hanging to hear. 'Are we going to see power laces in 2015? To that, I say yes,' Tinker responded when asked about the sneaker's pending reappearance. Unlike 2011, when the sneakers were auctioned for charity, next year we will hopefully be seeing a general release situation... fingers crossed. Exciting times ahoy people!
