This Reebok Kamikaze 2 is Supersonic
The is celebrating its 25th birthday this year, and what better way to do that than with this neat colourway that references uniforms worn by the Seattle SuperSonics during the silhouette’s halcyon days. Shawn Kemp notably rocked the Kamikaze 2 throughout the 1995-96 NBA season when he was at the peak of his considerable powers, leading the Sonics to a 64-18 record in the regular season, before eventually falling to the rampaging Chicago Bulls in the Finals.
Dressed mostly in black, the midsole wears minor additions of red and green, while the right heel is emblazoned with ‘64’ – presumably in reference to that regular season win tally.
