The Unreleased OVO x Air Jordan 11s Could be the Best Drake Has Ever Had
While Aubrey Drake Graham was celebrating his 34th birthday over the weekend, rare sneaker collector EnglishSole took the liberty of sharing images of two unreleased Air Jordan 11s bearing the Canadian performer’s OVO branding. October’s Very Own has been a successful conduit for Drake and his associates to execute a number of collaborations between different brands across multiple interests, and these AJ11s are definitely among some of the best.
Like previous OVO Air Jordans, there’s heavy emphasis on ebony and ivory, with two tonal colourways on show here. The light coloured pair would definitely get Aubrey into Puff Daddy’s infamous White Party, with its all-white leather uppers that feature embossed OVO branding all over the glossy mudguards. For an extra touch of class, the ice soles are glittered-out in gold, much like the OVO x Air Jordan 10.
The blacked-out 11s follow a similar concept to its white opposite, but opts for suede up top, paired to black patent mudguards that are also stamped OVO. In fact, this whole execution is pretty much a luxe take on the ‘Space Jam’ OGs. But instead of clear soles, these use the gold glitter type too. And there’s also an OVO owl logo across the tongue label. Very subtle.
Check out the shots above, and pray the Six God decrees these get released. Which they probably won’t. Sorry.
