The Nike SB ‘Mosaic Pack’ Includes A Patchy Pair of Blazer Mids
Despite the spotlight being firmly on its Dunk cousin, the Nike SB Blazer has steadily come out with new colourways and thematic executions that deserve some attention. The ‘Mosaic Pack’ is one such example, employing an unconventional yet intriguing take on the Blazer’s once familiar upper.
As the pack’s name suggests, various components of the Blazer upper are cut up and replaced somewhat haphazardly, much like a mosaic arrangement. Spot the misaligned panel edges that change material multiple times throughout, and an entire medley of bright pastels. In keeping with the SB credentials, durable leathers and textiles have been used, including full-grain leather, brushed suede, a bit of corduroy, and dense embroidery. There is also an extended rubber Ollie pad on the lateral midsole, and Zoom Air insoles for extra protection inside and out.
If the multi-coloured pastel edition is a bit too over-the-top, the more conservative sneakerheads and skaters out there will be pleased to know there is a more restrained black, grey and white edition releasing alongside.
As it intends to be a general release, there is not really a hard launch date for the Nike SB Blazer Mid ‘Mosaic Pack’. They should be dropping into Nike skate retailers soon.
