The Nike Air Max Plus is Tough in Black and Teal
The enduring popularity of the Nike Air Max Plus (AKA the TN) has resulted in it being a constant part of the Nike lifestyle offering. As time goes on, the Air Max Plus has taken on colourways beyond its OG fade colourways, and explored the seemingly infinite possibilities offered by its distinct upper.
This new edition sees a solid black mesh base accented by glossy teal ribbed overlays – a feature that has always defined the model. This bold look is complemented by the shiny toe cap, which has been used on practically every single TN since 1998. Another consistent detail is the blood-red midfoot Swoosh, which is bordered by white. Underfoot is pretty regular programming too – the gradient arch shank is nice to see, and a contrast medial Air unit is period correct. Staying sole-side, the AMP is one of the few Swoosh sneakers that still uses Air units with a middle seam. It’s a somewhat insignificant piece of minutia, but these are the things collectors look for.
Keep an eye out for this new Nike Air Max Plus to hit shelves in coming weeks. As it’s a GR, they don’t have a hard release date, so keep your eye out for them any day now.
