The Nike Air Max CB 94 Gets the Chicago Bulls Treatment
One of the indomitable hoops sneakers from the 1990s, is enjoying a stunning resurgence in recent years. Originally worn during the 1993–1994 season, the silhouette was famously modelled on a straightjacket – an allusion to Barkley’s belligerent play style. Both new and OG colourways continue to roll out for the big-bodied classic, with the latest version taking a cheeky colour scheme from rivals the Chicago Bulls (although Barkley’s friendship with is of course well documented).
Manufactured in breathable nubuck uppers punctured by polka-dot-like holes, the model is this time composed in ‘Black/Gym Red’. Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Air Max CB 94 of course features Nike’s patented Air Max units down below.
Fast approaching its 30th anniversary, the Bulls-esque colourway is expected to arrive in 2024 at Nike sportswear retailers, both in-store and online via Nike.com
While no official release dates have yet surfaced, make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
