Nike’s ‘First Use’ Pack is starting to ramp up. In addition to the Dunk Highs in red and ‘Sail’, Air Max Plus, and Air Max 90, we’re now also set to receive an Air Max 97.

This edition of the Air Max 97 has been built using a material mix of mesh, suede and leather with the main attraction being the shaggy suede mudguard. The top half has been covered in a dark orange hue with white tongue, laces, midsole, and a lateral Swoosh with subtle black trimming. The tongue Swoosh and heel branding provide some retro feels.

This big-bubbled iteration will be part of the ‘First Use’ pack which has been created to help celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the Nike Swoosh logo. Subtle touches have been added, making this a specialised release. The most obvious is the gold Swoosh lace keeper and ‘First Use June 18, 1971’ scripted on the medial side and insole.

The official imagery of the Nike Air Max 97 ‘First Use’ has come through, meaning a drop shouldn’t be too far away. Keep an eye on your local Swoosh stockist, and we’ll keep you updated if an exact date surfaces.
