The Nike Air Max 97 ‘Atlantic Blue’ is Making a Celebratory Comeback
Earlier this week, the rumour mill kicked into gear around the making a return. Helping to celebrate the big-bubbled sneaker’s 25th anniversary, we’ve just heard that another 2017 favourite will also be making a comeback. Remember the ‘? It’s been reported to release alongside the famed ‘Silver Bullet’ in 2022.
Imagery of next year’s pair hasn’t come through as of yet but we’ve included official E-Com imagery of the 2017 iteration above. If no changes are made, then you can expect a full ‘Metallic Silver’ mesh base with crispy ‘Atlantic Blue’ overlays and contrasting high-vis ‘Voltage Yellow’ accents. A full-length bulbous Air unit will remain down below, with subtle black and white outsole.
It only feels like yesterday that the Air Max 97 was celebrating its 20th anniversary! According to the news that’s been flying around the sneakersphere, the ‘Atlantic Blue’ will hit select stockists in 2022. No word on an exact date, but we’ll keep you updated.
