The Nike Air Huarache ‘Triple Black’ is Coming Back!
News of the Nike Air Huarache ‘Triple Black’ returning in 2021 isn’t particularly surprising, but it’s a welcome fact either way. As the Tinker Hatfield ,classic celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, Nike have taken a few classic colours from the vault and returned them to mainstream rotation, such as the Stussy collaborations, ‘Escape’ and, of course, the ‘Scream Green’ OG. And seeing as the ‘Triple Black’ enjoyed peak popularity during the great Huarache gold rush in the mid-2010s, it only makes sense the Swoosh will try to strike success once again with one of the all-time greatest murdered-out sneakers ever.
In case you missed it, the 2021 batch of Air Huaraches use a new upper and midsole configuration that’s more accurate to the 1991 OG than ever before. Despite the colourway here being all black, these updated details are not lost in the mix. The midsole forefoot flex ridges are deeper and more sculpted, and original Hua owners will appreciate the cored-out sections of the outsole, which is true to the earliest examples. Up top, the leather and nylon combo paired to the neoprene bootie remains some of the comfiest uppers in existence.
While this release will likely be a GR like its 2014 predecessor, don’t expect them to just sit idly on shelves and e-stores once they hit later this year.
