Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Huarache is celebrating its milestone 30th anniversary this year, and Team Swoosh are fabricating some major Huarache hype with a slew of colour-combo comebacks. We’ve already seen the Stussy colabs, ‘Escapes’ and ‘Scream Greens’ get welcomed retros with the ‘Triple Black’ hot on their heels! Following on, the ‘Magenta’ is looking to keep the anniversary celebrations going.

An OG colourway in the Huarache lineup, it hit shelves last in 2018, which wasn’t too long ago. However, unlike that version, the construction of this silhouette favours the OG iterations with a subtle redesign focusing on the shape and fit. It’s much closer to its 1991 roots.

Similar to the ‘Screen Green’ retro that hit all the right notes, the ‘Magenta’ boasts a mostly-white upper with splashes of purple leading up the tongue and wrapping around the heel. Elevating the colourway is the ‘Neon Yellow’ splashes. With even more nods to 1991 version, Team Swoosh will include a specialised pin reading ‘Have You Hugged Your Foot Today’, and box paper featuring ads from the original Huarache campaign.

Sadly, no release date has surfaced for the Nike Air Huarache ‘Magenta’, but think it should arrive in the coming few months for retail price of $120.
