The New Balance 991 and 1500 Receive Houndstooth Makeovers
are looking to make a fashion statement because the and have both been given chic new Houndstooth makeovers. Both pairs are looking classy in their new getup, and are available for preorder right now.
The New Balance 991, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is the most low-key out of the duo. The upper is reminiscent of , boasting lighter-hued nubuck leather overlays and grey signature N branding. Down below is the subtle two-tone midsole decked out with the usual comfy tech. Textile houndstooth patterned underlays provide the eye-catching detail.
Alongside the 991 will be the louder NB1500. Nubuck leather has also been used for its overlays, but instead been doused in a rich blue. A gum outsole running along the ENCAP midsole provides some extra contrast. More tonal blue hits come through on the houndstooth pattern.
