The Concepts x ASICS GEL-Lyte III ‘Bluefin Tuna’ Is the Good Kind of Fishy
are no strangers to collaborative pool, and now they’re hitting the water with the Japanese sneaker juggernaut again, this time for the luscious ‘Bluefin Tuna’.
Having graduated from ASICS’ performance lineup to become a staple of their lifestyle lineup, the GEL-Lyte III can luxuriate in softer fabrications. And that’s exactly what Concepts have done here, swaddling the split-tongued silhouette in pigskin suede. The tonal upper employs a pink gradation – rich like the finest sashimi-grade and just as premo. The piscine inspiration continues on the inner soles, where Japanese illustrations depict the namesake fish and crashing waves.
Elsewhere, co-branded touches celebrate the link-up: Concepts branding sits at the heel and on the custom footbeds.
