The Best Look Yet at the Upcoming JJJJound x New Balance 990v4
JJJJound x New Balance is happening again soon, as it appears pairs of a new 990v4 collaboration have been getting seeded to a select few on Instagram, some of whom are keen to share pics of their latest delivery. These shots come via curation.technique, whose trail tendencies are a perfect fit to show off some previously unseen tech features of these v4s.
The highly refined JJJJound have somehow worked out a magic formula for creating maximum hype using minimal intervention on their collaborations. At a distance, it simply looks like these 990v4s have been blacked out in the usual suede and mesh specification. However, the point of difference – as diehard JJJJounders are wont to inform doubters of – is the addition of bungee cord-style laces secured by a toggle, resulting in just a dash of GORP while staying in the brand’s minimalist lane. And, like previous colabs, the JJJJound typeface can be subtly found on the heels.
This new lace option is perhaps an included accessory for the shoes, as the previous reveal direct from JJJJound founder Justin Saunders depicted the v4s with a standard set of laces.
A release date has yet to be confirmed for the JJJJound x New Balance 990v4. However, cryptic communications online suggest it’s coming very soon.
