The Air Jordan 3  ‘Seoul’ is preparing to make a welcome return to stores this month, with an exclusive women’s edition set to drop alongside apparel for the ultimate flex. The design is expected to mirror the 2018 release devised by Tinker Hatfield and Dan Sunwoo, paying homage to South Korea’s capital city.

That initial design commemorated the shared anniversary of the AJ3 and the 1988 Summer Olympics. According to Sunwoo at that time, ‘I grew up a sneakerhead in Seoul and I wanted to create a shoe that pays homage to the creative energy of the city. Now is the perfect time, building on the momentum of the winter games and the love Korean consumers have for Jordan Brand.’

This year’s edition is expected to pack all the same patriotic touches as the original, including South Korea’s flag – known as the Taegukgi – hitting the right tongue, while the Jumpman graces the left. Other special details hit the inside of both tongues.

According to IG user zsneakerheadz, Nike Korea have organised a special event for the women’s version of the Air Jordan 3 ‘Seoul’ that will begin on October 5. The lucky winners of the event will then be given the opportunity to purchase products on October 12.
