TEDxPortland Celebrate 10th Event With Special Nike Air Force 1 Colab

1,164 days. That's how long it's been since the last TEDxPortland event, and it's also the number that's stamped in black on the medial heel of TEDxPortland and Nike's latest collaborative sneaker, an Air Force 1 Low. 2022's TEDxPortland event is the 10th instalment of the famed event, and the first since 2019, so the Swoosh pulled out all the stops in creating a special sneaker to mark the occasion.

Crafted of white tumbled leather, this Air Force 1's most immediate accents are its iridescent Swooshes and the TEDxPortland tag on its tongue. There's a similarly iridescent '10' hit on each heel tab, and 'Ideas Worth Spreading' – the TEDx tagline – is debossed on the lateral side of each heel to match the above-mentioned '1,164' hit. Finishing touches are supplied by a large 'P' logo on the inner half of the tongue, special lace tips that read 'Spreading Ideas,' a small hit of red on the midsoles and full-colour insoles with an 'Audacious' graphic that nods to the theme of this year's event.

Over the years, TEDxPortland, Nike and Jordan Brand have created everything from Air Jordan 1s and Air Trainer 1s to Air Max 1s, Air Humaras, Roshe Runs and more (all of which can be seen in the above photo) to celebrate the event, but this is their first go-around with the AF1 – and the timing is fitting, as 2022 is the AF1s 40th birthday! If you're looking to snag a pair of these special Forces, they'll be likely made available during the event, which starts on May 28. Tickets can be purchased here.
