Take a Closer Look at the ‘Smoke Grey’ Nike Air Max Plus 2
An early-2000s Nike Air Max release, the Air Max Plus 2 is the younger brother of the infamous TN, and mostly looked over by the mass sneaker audience, despite being appreciated by a small sect of Air Max enthusiasts. If you can remember a couple of weeks back, we shared the news that the blast from the past was making a return. Six colourways surfaced, including the OG, and now after peeping the official pics of the pink and blue pair, we’ve got a look at the low-key ‘Smoke Grey’ edition.
Compared to the other colourways that have leaked, this one remains much more subtle. Up-top we’ve got a mesh upper with a gradient grey, white and black look, offset by the also gradient wavy ribbing along each side, and the small Swoosh detail. Black leather hits come through along the wrap around heel and collar, with a clean toe cap. Down below we’ve got a two-tone midsole with white as the dominant colour, then a clear Air unit.
