TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist Fuses the ASICS GEL-Quantum 360 to Chelsea Boots

Office attire is set to get a lot more comfortable with the imminent arrival of the TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist x ASICS GEL-Quantum 360. In essence a hybrid of the classic Chelsea boot and the GEL sole from ASICS’ popular lifestyle model, this bespoke creation is par for the course when it comes to the Japanese collaborator’s penchant for playful footwear.

The boot upper uses premium polished black leather with a contrasting suede heel strip, and deep elasticated side gussets are telltale signs of the Chelsea boot. While traditionally joined to a low-stacked heel and hard-bottomed outsole, this iteration uses the midsole from the aforementioned GEL-Quantum 360. The full-length GEL sole is blacked out to maintain the tonal intentions of the design and also serves to emphasise its jagged surface.

While the collaboration has been announced via ASICS’ social media channels at the time of writing, neither the brand nor TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist have confirmed a release date.
