TA-KU x G-Shock Launch Event Recap
Australia recently played host to some of the country’s freshest and finest G-fiends to celebrate the launch of the brand’s collaboration with creative powerhouse TA-KU.
G-Shock founder Kikuo Ibe was in attendance to tell the story behind the first watch he created in 1983, as well as to unveil the glimmering Sapphire Crystal DW-5600s that debuted recently in NYC (said to be worth $100,000 each!). Mouth-watering delights provided by mobile munch-masters Tsuru fuelled energies (exhausted later on the dancefloor to tunes by some of the country’s finest DJs), complemented by seemingly bottomless beverages.
A magnificent display of dual-branded craftsmanship, the collaborative watch was on show for all to ogle while those in the know rocked it on-wrist. A selection of TA-KU’s photography was also on display – a sample of the visual treats contained in the stunning coffee table book that accompanies each watch.
