Stussy and Converse are pillars of genre-defining cool – brands with rich heritages that know their past but don't shy away from pushing the envelope. It only seems right that this shared mindset would lead to a swath of collaborations, and the latest effort between the SoCal streetwear titans and the Boston-based footwear purveyors is a high-top iteration of the Chuck 70, revealed in a set of photos from @sneakertigger.

Past Stussy x Converse colabs have featured everything from wild patterns to bold prints and even croc skin detailing, but this new pair takes a simpler tack. It's made of a lightweight black textile that's geared towards summer wear and features a Stussy star on the lateral side of its collar, plus special branded tags on the tongue and heel. The signature Chuck patch may appear to be absent from the medial side, replaced by a single stitched circle, but it's there – appearing inside the collar instead of outside like usual. Classic Chuck details like the rubber toe cap, metallic silver eyelets and midsoles with a contrasting stripe round off the look.

At the time of writing, the Stussy x Converse Chuck 70 has yet to receive a release date. However, due to its choice of materials, it's not far-fetched to assume that it'll be dropping sometime in the Northern Hemisphere's summer season.
