Studio Hagel Have Teased Their Own Sneaker Brand!
Amsterdam-based Studio Hagel was founded in 2015 by Mathieu Hagelaars, a footwear design and consultancy studio that has worked with brands such as Off-White, Moncler and Valentino. Their designs are quite literally out-of-this-world, telling SF in a 2018 interview that they’re inspired by science fiction because no one says ‘it’s not possible’. Their DIY-esque take is refreshing and with their increasing popularity it only makes sense that they’re going out on their own! Back in December they previewed their newest venture dubbed ‘Hagel’.
So far information is incredibly scarce shrouding their first ever in-house release in secrecy! However, they've revealed a small glimpse at what can be expected. The upper looks to be made of a leather or leather-like material in a high-visibility orange. Ironically a shroud has been placed over the top of their shoe with what looks like a toggle lacing system. Down below we can see an on-brand futuristic midsole and rounding it out is the Hagel tag along the lateral.
All that is know about Hagel’s first sneaker is that it will be extremely limited and is hitting their web store in February. We’ll keep you updated!
