Sotheby’s are one of the foremost names in the high-end auction game and have built a reputation as a go-to seller for some of the most valuable sneakers ever. This point proves especially true yet again as they’ve compiled 124 lots of ridiculously rare kicks in the upcoming ‘Heat’ collection.

Individual pairs are allocated to most lots, with the exception of a few complete packs. The collection is primarily Nike and Jordan Brand, but one notable outlier is lot 95, an ensemble of clothing and Reebok Shaqnosis supposedly worn by Will Smith in Men In Black. There are plenty of never-before-seen Nike SB Dunk samples and deadstock rarities, such as the Supreme set from 2003. Friends and Family editions plus vintage pairs also feature, like a pair of Dunks made for Futura’s 50th birthday and brand new Air Jordan 1s from 1985, respectively.

Some lots seem to remain in the auction circuit, such as a pair of Air Jordan 13s made in celebration of Christopher Wallace, aka The Notorious B.I.G., which were only via Sotheby’s in February this year.

The Sotheby’s ‘Heat’ collection will open for bidding on June 13. Check out SF’s , head of streetwear and modern collectibles at Sotheby’s, on the house’s entry into the shoe game.
