Not only are the collaborations between Sneakersnstuff and New Balance important because they know how to hit the brief, they're also significant because both of these brands go way back together!

Sneakersnstuff and NB first collaborated back in 2005 on a 577 model known as the 'Round 1', which ended up seeing a trio pack released. Made at the infamous Flimby Factory, there's actually a bit of a backstory as to why the release ended up being a three-parter. The original pair designed by SNS' Erik Fagerlind drew inspiration from the Swedish flag and the Canary Islands, hence the colourway. However the final product saw the blue panels arrive in a different hue altogether – these became known as 'The Secret 577'. Long story short, all pairs as well as the grey pair were released, each being limited to 96 of each!

Now in 2022, they're harking back to that bygone era, with a trio of 991s which are looking to bring those OG colourways back to shelves. There's currently no release date set for the Sneakersnstuff x New Balance 991 'Perforated Pack', but stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, check out the latest New Balance 991 collaboration with Paperboy Paris and ALL GONE.
