Snkr Frkr Issue 14 Launch Night!
We kicked out the jams last week and launched of the World's Greatest Boogazine at Melbourne’s most infamous sneaker spot, . With the being guzzled by the gallon, the festivities seemed to be over before they began, with a whirlwind of giveaways and raffles, not to mention several hundred sneaker freakers devouring the goodness of Issue 14.
The raffle was to win one of five pairs of kicks supplied by the goodfellas at Nike. Our hearts melted when our youngest Freaker, BenAir took not only a coveted pair of Nike Blazers home, but also a bevy of new fans along the way. Maybe we are getting more grey hairs than we like to admit, but the Sneaker Freaker audience just keeps getting younger and better looking every launch. To celebrate the end of 2008, we also threw a collection of our new tees into the hungry shark waters with more elbows thrown than a WWF Smackdown as the crowd rumbled to snaffle a piece of SF history. Never fear, you too can rock them , we got your back!
Issue 14 is killer, covering everything from Nike ACG to Reebok Freestyles, to some absolutely ill product that will keep us all intoxicated until the next instalment. Cheers to Chris, Mels and the never-not-working staff at Provider for giving us a space to fraternise with Melbourne’s close-knit sneaker community.
