Sneaker Bots Flood Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 Raffle, Winning Over 200 Pairs

Resellers have had a massive victory overnight after two individuals used sneaker bots to flood Travis Scott’s website with raffle entries for the rapper’s collaboration with Fragment Design and the Air Jordan 1, then subsequently won over 200 pairs between them.

Each reseller was able to use bots to create tens of thousands of entries towards the coveted colab, totalling 57,000 chances on the official Travis Scott website, which was the first place the AJ1s released. The overwhelming number of raffle entries therefore resulted in a relatively high strike rate – though that number pales in comparison to the reported 5-million-plus prospective entries for the Dior x Air Jordan 1 from last year.

Sadly, many sneakerheads will continue to miss out on their favourite releases when up against resellers spotting a highly profitable shoe. Warding off bots for online releases will also remain a persistent challenge for retailers, but there are few alternatives to release hyped sneakers fairly in this modern landscape.
