SKATEDELUXE Take a Shine to the Nike SB Blazer
Under the expansive umbrella covering both hype releases and genuine skate shoes, the tends to fall into the latter category as a go-to choice for griptape aficionados. While its more popular sibling usually gets collaborative preference, Barcelona store stay true to their boarding roots and light up their own bespoke Blazer.
Similarly to the Dunk, the Blazer was originally a basketball shoe – Nike’s very first hardcourt offering, in fact – before finding a new home on skateboards and streets. Renowned for its durability and grip, SKATEDELUXE literally highlight these features with some very shiny reflective accents added to a globe graphic printed on the sides. Also very bright are the completely reflective shoelaces, as demonstrated in the video below. It’ll be interesting to see how they hold up after a few kickflips.
The rest of the colourway is pretty straightforward, with a simple black suede upper and white fat-bellied Swoosh making up the top, which is joined to a white vulc sole. As it’s the SB version of the Blazer, the insoles presumably will also have Zoom Air cushioning in the heel to offer some low-profile impact protection.
SKATEDELUXE are yet to announce release details, but they do have some skateboarding events coming this weekend in Berlin and Barcelona that might reveal more.
