Simply Bread 3 has hit the jackpot! The third time was definitely the charm, with the all-encompassing streetwear club night bringing freakers from all over the city to freeze their nuts and bolts off as they waited in line at hot spot Miss Libertine. With SB3 hosting the championship of Australia’s best Street Fighter gamers, the battle was on against trigger-happy fighters and neck-breaking sneaker heads as to who was going to take home to coveted SFIV title and ‘Freshest Sneaker’ comp. With music thumping from DMC Champ B.Two, Matik, 25th Hoodlum and M.A.F.I.A., everyone kept not only their laces loose, but their mackin’ moves until the insanely icy morning hours.

To prove just how big the event is becoming, labels from all over the globe donated $5000 worth of giveaways that were constantly flung into the hyped-up crowd all night long. Props must go to Sneaker Freaker, Acclaim, Krew, Supra, T-world, Hemley, Robio Toys, Madman entertainment, Triumvir and Orisue for providing all their premium proddy to be rocked and rolled throughout the night.

Finding a winner for the sneaker comp was going to be a mean feat considering everyone bravely rocked their grails for their chance to take home an ultimate prize pack valued at $1000. From Jeremy Scott Wings to Bape88 Mids, the lucky winner was chosen for his out-of-the-box originality. Rocking full ‘90s steez, hero Hakan freaked one blue Puma First Round Skate and one red topping the duo off with checkerboard lace ups. Schwing!

After 72 rounds of non-stop action, Toxy took home the ultimate Street Fighter trophy along with a massive prize pack not to mention blurred vision and bruised fingers. Props must go to the Fat Kids for keeping the spirit of street culture alive and ‘kicking’ – giving the new generation of cats a new home to call their own. Bring on SB4 yo!
