Update February 15, 2023: The New Balance 574 is officially here! Two colourways have been loaded onto the NB webstore, including grey and navy. Complete with eight-spike metal bottoms and full-length Fresh Foam X midsoles, the design delivers traction and comfort for the pitch, while retaining the classic 574 outer. Pairs will become available to buy on February 17 and the price is locked at $134.95.

Aiming to continually inspire the next gen of athletes around the world, Ohtani has said, ‘As I continue my journey in baseball, I am excited to join the New Balance family. Although Ohtani signed his MLB contract back in 2018, he’s only just getting started. Going on to win the American League Rookie of the Year Award, he’s also a two-time MLB All-Star and 2021 American League MVP. There’s a lot to be expected from Ohtani’s NB alliance, including unveiling a special, limited edition Cleat. It’ll be a major milestone for all parties as it marks the first time the classic silhouette will step onto the pitch. The baseball-aligned version of the 574 sees changes to the model’s interior, allowing it to provide fit, support and performance elements.
